Our program at Aloha Healing Women can help just about anyone who wants to get well. Though this book contains much of what we know, it by no means covers all the things that might work for you. It does go over what has worked for us and has been adjusted to meet many different types of needs. Whether you have specific issues such as eating problems
- anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, obesity, over exercising, laxative abuse, etc, or child, spousal or sexual abuse, emotional or life crisis concerns or grief etc., we have dealt with it all and our program works the same with all these issues. It also offers an excellent way to begin or continue your spiritual path to enlightenment. So, what is eating you? Well if you knew that, you might have a clue as to how to go about healing it. Then again, perhaps not . Most people who come to Aloha Healing Retreats have tried a myriad of western and holistic therapies to try to get well and for the most part, those methods didn’t work for them. For many people, we are often the last outpost on a long journey to getting well. Ultimately, our approach has proven to help so many people and now it can help you.
You are most likely very aware of your symptoms. You can probably list every detail of your malady and the history that goes with it. But do you know why you have the malady? Where did it come from? When did it start? From whence did it spring?
In order for you to become balanced and well, it is essential for you to know the source of your imbalance or disease. Of course, disease, is just that a state, of dis ease. Disease is when you find your self not well, either emotionally, physically, mentally or spiritually. If any one of those arenas are out of harmony, it will affect how the other arenas function and thrive. You need to find out what is knocking you out of the boat of life and making you thrash around in a sea of trouble and illness. If you can not find the seed of your disease, how can you expect to heal the tree of illness that it has grown into?
Through the power of hypnotherapy you can peel away the layers of your life so that your individual condition and situation can be revealed and dealt with. Hence, hypnotherapy has been the foundation of our healing program. In our hypnotherapy sessions we endeavor to reveal the source of your unhappiness When doing present or past life regression during hypnotherapy we seek to address the person who you were when this experience shaped your life. We then discover what will bring that situation back into harmony for you, the you you were and the you who you are now. During this mending of your history you will also learn why you had to go through that experience and learn your life lesson from it. Then you can release it and let it go, so you can move on
with your life. For everything in life happens for a reason, trite but true. In every tragedy and challenge there is a lesson to be learned and if we do not learn from it we are destined to repeat the drama over and over again until we do learn that lesson. To this end please go to our section on hypnotherapy and how to connect with a
qualified hypnotherapist or take advantage of
our hypnotherapy sessions available on CD.
The universe is infinitely patient. To help us learn the many stages of unconditional love the universe gives us the challenges that will allow us the opportunity to learn those valuable lessons. The universe may tap you lightly with an initial lesson and if you don’t pay attention and learn that lesson, it will then rap you soundly with another version of the same lesson. If you still refuse to listen and learn, it will step up with a good sized log of a lesson and whack you up the side of your head and maybe then you will pay attention and proceed to learn your lesson.
You have all heard the definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Then there is an adage, that when you do not learn from history, you are destined to repeat it. It is up to you to decide how long class is going to be in session for any particular learning experience. When you have truly honored your lesson, then you can be free to take a more positive position in you life. Hopefully this book can give insights as to how to learn from your healing process so you can graduate to a better life.

YoU aRe noT alone
You are unique. Your story is unlike any other story that has ever been told or is being written. However, you are not alone. Most people who experience difficult times often think that they are the only ones who have ever gone through the trials and tribulations that they are experiencing. Everyone reacts differently to their life circumstances. No two people will perceive or receive the same experience in the same way. However, this physical plane uses very similar testing patterns. Most abuse survivors are amazed that I can finish their sentences when speaking of their abusers. That is because most abusers have similar techniques in luring, grooming and administrating their abuse. Human suffering is not unique or even unusual. Humans throughout the ages have found truly inventive ways of making other humans miserable, however the patterns are not very unusual and remain familiar and constant. This does not imply that any situation is trivial or insignificant, it is just stating the commonality of the human condition.
Most eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia have a secretive nature to their disease. Since most people keep their disorder a secret with the stealth deserving of a good spy novel, they are surprised when they discover they aren’t the only ones lurking around the fringes of normal eating behaviors. Thus, they are often convinced that they are the only ones who
fixate on food. When in a group therapy setting,
eating disorder clients will often exclaim – “You too!? God, I thought I was the only one that did that!” But of course they aren’t. Most behaviors have been acted on before by countless other people before them. Though I did encounter one very unique eating disorder that has not been repeated in my experiences. Rumination, the swallowing of food then bringing it back up to be re chewed and swallowed again. Yes, chew on that for unique and still tragic.
Grief is a very individual tragedy. Everyone passes through their period of grief in their own manner. Yet the stages and repercussions of grief are again fairly predictable and common to most who experience it. For instance, I have noticed for people who have lost a loved one unexpectedly, that it usually takes a period of about two years for them to be able to manage the hypnotherapy session, Soul to Soul Communication whereby they can directly contact and communicate with their lost loved one. This two year time period after the death of a lost loved one, helps me gauge whether a person is ready to do the work here with us at the retreats.
Physical ailments have a vast array of symptoms and causations. Primarily, though, most illnesses come from disharmony. The state of being in dis ease, begets disease. When one discovers the source or the root of that disharmony, you can begin the process of
balancing the physical, mental and spiritual energies to put the body, mind and spirit in it’s best possible position for well being.
Abuse can be delivered in many ways, yet the results are fairly similar. Abuse kills the soul. When abuse is endured, it makes the person feel unworthy of human kindness. This sets the stage for countless diseases and manifestations of disharmony. Abuse robs the survivor of their right to be a divine creature. The double sword with abuse is that the receiver often feels responsible for the abuse. They may feel that they somehow caused the abuse. Of course, that is the line fed to them by their perpetrators and it works well on a tortured soul. The truly terrifying truth is that almost all abusers were once abused themselves. Abuse is insidious and breeds even more horror from generation to generation. It is only through the healing of abuse that we can ever expect to put an end to it’s vicious cycle.
Spiritual disharmony can wreck your body, mind and soul. If you are not at peace within yourself and your universe, your body, heart and mind can not rest or be able to heal either. Holistic healing is the blending of all these arenas of your life so that you achieve a whole healing. You must have all the parts of you well, to be complete and whole and well.
Whether you are suffering from the ramifications of abuse, grief, physical or spiritual illnesses, you are probably not the first nor the last to have gone through what you are going through. That may not make you feel better in the beginning, but it does help to know that gone through your type of challenge. Yet, you can take some comfort in the fact that other people who have been trampled by life in similar circumstances have triumphed by learning from their life’s lessons and moved on to a better life.
There are also people who allowed themselves to continue to live in the agony of their ordeals by choosing to ignore their situation or refusing to learn from their life’s challenges. It is all a matter of choice. Do you choose to remain in the darkness of your misery or do you choose to confront your self regarding it’s unique learning path? Will you choose to stand up and move forward toward wellness? You do not have to suffer another moment, you can choose to change your life forever, right now. And so it is.

Eating Disorder Recovery 1 http://www.healthretreats.info
Aloha all, this is our first post about eating disorder recovery that we do at Aloha Healing Women. We will be discussing holisitic recovery protocols that we have used very successfully at our center for the last nine years. We have helped many women with bulimia, binging and purging issues, obesity, overeating, overexercising, etc. with our holistic approach. Our new book Healing What's Eating You should be published by mid June or early July. It is available now in an ebook form for those who can wait for the soft copy to come out. In that book we discuss the many types of holistic therapies and practices we use to help women heal from eating disorders.
We are excited about sharing the knowledge that we have gleaned over the years treating this terrible illness. We have a very different approach to alleviating the addiction of eating issues but not putting the focus on them. We don't follow people to the bathroom, we don't count calories or watch what you eat accept when providing nutritional counseling. What we do focus on is how you can change your thought and behavior patterns by putting positive thoughts and behaviors in your life.
We focus on how you can change your thoughts and actions at every moment, you are given an option to choose what you think and what you do.
We put the emphasis on positive changes and we facilitate that by doing twice weekly hypnotherapy sessions so we can explore the source of the eating disorder and find out what that individual needs to do to change, learn and heal their situuation. We have weekly aromatherapy massages, acupuncture, yoga class, complete body mind cellular alignments, reiki and crystal therapy treatments, ilahinoor sessions and daily dream analysis, workshops, water aerobics and island tours throughout the week.
Eating disorder is the only addiction where the user must be able to change their entire life around food because they can not not eat. It takes a least 21 days to change any habit and for most it is going to be a much longer battle to overcome their addictive behaviors with food, but it is worth your life.
Well that gets us started and I am off to Kauai for a much needed respite, but I will be checking my emails for those who wish to correspond.
